Saturday evening, I had the opportunity to photograph the wedding of two former students. For me, it was a special night for many reasons. Firstly, it reiterates the idea that even after spending a year in a classroom with me, people can go on and become productive members of society with goals and aspirations of their own. Also, I can recall this relationship in its infancy. Kenny and Addison are junior high school sweethearts, so I guess we can’t be too surprised that they are now wed to each other. Kenny was a rambunctious kid with lots of energy. Come to think of it, he had a knack for getting on my nerves. He is one of those kids who paid me back for all the grief I gave my teachers. Anyway, I am really proud to say he has turned into a really nice, hard working, well-mannered man. He’s really worked some kinda magic to keep Addison all this time and to now marry her. I wish these two many years of happiness. May you two continue to find fulfillment in the process of giving of yourselves to each other.
